Lots of Americans are turning into Cannabis entrepreneurs in a financial recession!

It seems like everyone is feeling the pinch from this horrid economic recession and while there are many who are taking the hit some are also using their entrepreneurial skills to survive. If you ar being hit hard financially then there is only so much you can do, like go out less, spend less on luxuries but what if you want to not reduce your standard of living? Some may turn to prostitution, sex trade or as you guessed it growing marijuana!

It is no wonder that the USA state of California is looking at legalizing and taxing marijuana simply because there is money in it and many people are looking at growing mj to beat the recession. The USA cannabis erradiction programe has already chopped and burnt cannabis this year with the street value of $12 billion and maybe these numbers are even making you think about it.

So how is there such as sudden boom amongst non-cartel crime members to start growing marijuana plants? Well firstly the goverments plans to reduce the amount of marijuana coming in from Mexico’s border is successful and therefore creating a gap in the market for people to make a business on their own home turf. Also the ability to obtain cannabis seeds and grow the cannabis plants is very easy with each plant being worth almost $2000 the required effort to make big money is small. This lucrative business is catching the eyes of non-crime groups and now amateur growers are cultivating up-to 80 plants close to their homes in states like California to help them profit from marijuana gains and get through these bad times.

It seems like although the government contantly talks about the negative things about marijuana, it clearly has positive outcomes for the cleaver marijuana entrepreneurs of America.

Do you remember your last visit to Netherlands to smoke marijuana?

September 13th, 2009 Tony Montana No comments

I tell you one thing I certainly do remember my trip from the UK to Amsterdam to get an experience of this great city that obviously included smoking some of the best marijuana and hash. My holiday to Amsterdam was so much fun that we booked the trip another two times and had a time of our lives!

This all could change soon as the Dutch government wants to bring in measures that will prevent foreigners from using the famous cannabis cafe shops in an attempt to stop drug tourism.

If the drugs policy (gedoogbeleid) is changed this would effectively stop any non-Dutch visitors from smoking cannabis through members only pass for Dutch locals and the amount of marijuana the shops can buy.

This drugs reform seems to be inline with the changes that the government has made with the reduction of brothel windows in the red light district to clean up the sleazy city into a better tourist destination.

The current turnover from the legal “coffee shop” business is around the £1.6 billion per year and this new policy will definetly have an effect on these traders.

As usual when new laws make certain things illegal for people it opens up new business opportunities for criminals to fill the void and make huge profits. Will the new policy be effective in stopping foreign consumption of marijuana and prevent criminal channels of marijuana distribution appearing?

This could be your last chance to try Amsterdams coffee shop cannabis experience!
