Marijuana pot superstore opens in Oaklands Bay Area and it already dubbed as the largest!

January 30th, 2010 Tony Montana 2 comments

Well such a marijuana super store is making some headlines and just gives you an idea of how much the marijuana trade could bring to the USA if it was legalized for everyone. Marijuana would bring in money straight away for the marijuana seed banks, the farmers, scientists, wholesalers, brokers, distributors, retail outlets, pot tax for the US and associated businesses like grow shops.

After all you need the right equipment to grow your pot and the first of the iGrow stores that opened in America Oakland will provide you with just that. iGrow caters for all your pot growing needs in a 15,000 square foot warehouse and if you go there with a medical marijuana certificate they will talk to you in detail about how to most effectively use the equipement. Although we are concentrating on the pot growing side of things it actually is not purely a pot growing heaven since growers of other plants such as tomatoes will also use these sophisticated hydro systems to help grow great indoor crop.

So whats next? It is clear that the marijuana movement has gained immense momentum in the US especially California and what Californians can hope to see in the near future is the legalization of small amounts of marijuana for non-medical use and the ability to grow crop on private property through The Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010.

Bills, bills, bills….

January 24th, 2010 Tony Montana No comments

Bills, bills, bills…… no not all those bills you are getting through your letter box and this has nothing to do with the recession. We are talking about medical marijuana bills and this month New Jersey has voted to make its state the 14th to legalize marijuana.

This comes at a point many people in NJ who suffer from critical illnesses will definetly be in favour of since they are constantly in the fear of using marijuana. Many patients have to travel to California where medical marijuana is legal however this bill which is waiting for the signature of Governer Jon Corzine will make life for these patients so much easier.

Good news also has news of the opposite nature and that is people who are against the legalization of marijuana because they feel that ill patients and the use of so-called ‘compassionate grounds’ are being ill used by marijuana activists.

People feel that the bill is simply a gateway to full legalization since many big shot marijuana brokers and farmers are leading the movement and it appears that they are simply reading $$$ in their eyes along with the tobacco companies.

Although New Jersey may legalize the substance California remains the hub of the marijuana industry since many of the farmers have perfected the art and developed strains that help alleviate certain conditions making it easier to prescribe marijuana more accurately.

Looking at the UK laws where marijuana went from class C back up-to class B, I think Americans should also consider that in the future there could be a reversal of movement especially when new governments come into play with different thought or if this good movement eventually turns America into a bigger version of Amsterdam where it may become a problem.

For now, as mentioned previously on Toke Pot the most important thing is that the correct people are getting access to the herb to help their medical condition and we can only hope that these bills are not abused by people which could cause a reversal of such changes in law.

Welcome to the Detroit cannabis college and learn how to produce and sell the crop!

November 23rd, 2009 Tony Montana No comments

So what could you expect new on the curriculum of many colleges in America? Well forget Maths and Geography, you can now study how to grow marijuana in Detroit’s new cannabis college. With Michigan recently legalizing marijuana this has led to this college opening and professional horticulturists, doctors and lawyers out of the many taking up posts as instructors.

Students can enroll for $475 for six evening classes which will give them the training to grow medical grade marijuana and advice on how to sell it. So after graduating and recieving your marijuana certificate you could expect to be one of the competing businesses in the marijuana trade selling the herb for up-to $250 an ounce and their are plenty of patients out there to keep you busy.

One thing is for sure, with more and more states legalizing marijuana ill patients will benefits from the herb, new jobs will be created and the tax will definetly help states generate more money to put back into the community.

More proof that marijuana should be legalized!

It has been publicized yesterday that the 56 year old Fort Lauderal stockbroker Irvin Rosenfield smoked his 115,000th joint on the 21st November to help alleviate the pain from multiple congenital cartilaginous exostoses. He has been obtaining cannabis for the last 27 years and I bet you want to know from where? Well from the government since 1982 and this goes to show that the herb should be fully legalized for its benefits and even the government recognises this otherwise they would not have supplied this stockbroker.

Rosenfield has said that without marijuana he would be bed ridden and his quality of life would be very poor or he may even be dead. Rosenfiled wants to use himself as an example for the benefits of marijuana and he sure is a great one.

These a great cases to set an example of how marijuana can benefit people lives and the US is going in the right direction to legalize it however the policies remain unchanged else where in the world.

From Portland Oregan, America gets its first legal cannabis coffee shop!

November 23rd, 2009 Tony Montana No comments

Is America going to be the next mass version of Amsterdam since California is being dubbed as one already? I have been to Amsterdam and with their liberal laws was one of my best experiences especially on the cannabis front. However there seems to be a trend that shows a switch in policies between say USA and Europe. Where once the use of marijuana was acceptable the laws are changing and where in the US it was unacceptable now slowly is becoming acceptable.

Any way, if the entire USA has legalzied medical marijuana say within 5 years the US will definetly be a hot tourist attraction amongst toker to perhaps make use of any loop holes to smoke the brilliant crop from say the sunny fields of Cali. Loop holes? Well I am sure that many doctors wwill be willing to take some back handers in order to write out certificates for non-ill people and make some serious money off the back of the US Mj boom.

The first signs of the Amsterdam “coffee shops” to appear in the US are found in Portland Oregan with the first shop just opened, Cannabis Cafe. The shop looks just like any other coffee shop in America but behind all the usual items are stacks of jarred marijuana where they can smoke it in the tokers lounge using vapourisers and this has all been possible through the change in policy within the Obama Administration.

Before you book your trip to Cannabis Cafe you cannot simply walk in and get bonged as it is a facilty setup purely for medical marijuana patients and to be registered as one you will first need to be enrolled in Oregon’s Medical Marijuana Programme through a doctore certificate ($100) and then you can Oregon chapter of NORML. NORML will issue a membership card that will give you entry into Cannabis Cafe.

So now you got your card you will probably want to know how much a toke at the cannabis coffee shop will cost? Its FREE! In contrast to California where medical marijuana dispensaries are proftiting from this boom, Oregans plans are to give the marijuana to patients for free through state approved marijuana growers.

So the benefits:

- Terminal ill patients can cut down the number of drugs they take dues to the huge benefits they can obtain from the single herb, Marijuana

- No fear from the Feds doing any raids due to the change in policy from the Obama Admin

- Hope to get rid of Mexican drug cartels

- Eliminate illegitimate businesses solely setting up to first profit from marijuana and secondly help people

Business is doing well in the US medical marijuana industry but will boom when fully legalized

October 23rd, 2009 Tony Montana 1 comment

People are no doubt gearing up for the marijuana business boom that will happen if marijuana is legalized for all across the USA. Already this week the editors of Westword are looking for a marijuana dispensary reviewer to give editorial advice on the best marijuana outlets.

Already we know that the tobacco companies are ready to pounce the minute MJ is legalized and most probably all other associataed businesses such as smoking paper manufacturers, bongs designers and seed vendors.

What is interesting is that legalization will make way for the USA to produce its own varieties that otherwise come from seed bank in Holland. In the following video you will see how people are already preparing for marijuana business as is shown by Ben Holmes who is a Hedge fund manager who is investing in marijuana seeds. The interesting thing that I learnt from the video is that although I knew cannabis seeds are illegal in the US but never knew why. Well as Ben explains that it is all done by weight, stalk, leaves and seeds are all considered to be marijuana and therefore the seeds are illegal.

The other interesting points in the video are how we are moving closer to legalization since we are following the exact trend seen on how alcohol was legalized.

Great news, looks like marijuana can do alot of good especially in the hemp trade.

Good news for medical marijuana users in Cali under Obama’s new policies

October 23rd, 2009 Tony Montana No comments

New Obama’s policy proves to very good news for medical marijuana users and its dispensaries since the new policy will allow all these legit business and medical users to not be arrested. This give all the users and businesses to operate without the fear of being arrested for visiting state santioned outfits.

Back to California as it appears some sort of climax may be reached for legalization of marijuana

October 18th, 2009 Tony Montana No comments

If you have not already noticed California seems to be the main focal point from where marijuana will become legalized for everyone, but is it all a dream? Behind the many big headlines being published in many news article that almost give the impression that the legalization of marijuana is not that far away you will also find hidden in the stories the opposite.

Why are all the headlines pointing to California to be the first state to possibly legalize marijuana? Well because all pro-marijuana campaigners are trying to bank on the fact that the state is almost bankrupt and that marijuana is the only solution to help the state to come out of a deficit. Tom Amino has proposed taxing California’s marijuana trade which could raise approximatley $1.3 billion a year and also Arnold Schwarzenegger has suggested that it should be looked at to. These stories are exactly what the current headlines are made of almost selling a dream to all pot smokers but Barrack Obama clears a bit of the smoke by throwing a hammer in the works by saying that all of LA’s 800 marijuana dispensaries are pure commerical operation that are a cover for organized crime making the prospects of legalization a bit more lesser.

With all this commotion of legalizing marijuana for all, if it backfire then it will only leave the people who really need the substance for medical conditions to suffer. Also although legalizing the drug is being fought to help these people with medical conditions the fact that big tobacco companies have come into the picture to sell their products only dampens the possiblity of all this happening. On the one hand you have the people trying to gain access to marijuana without the fear of prosecution (still illegal according to US Federal law) and then you have tobacco companies also wanting to take advantage and make profits possibly countering the good that marijuana has to offer in the first place.

So this month so far has been big headlines with big dreams and small prints being missed to suggest otherwise.

Wisconsin’s biggest marijuana plant operation found and closed

October 18th, 2009 Tony Montana No comments

This is Wisconsin’s biggest marijuana operation that was found in the Navarino States’ Wildlife Area and almost most 8,000 plants were taken and the setup shut down.

It looks like although this marijuana grow op was closed down it only was found by chance but seems like many mj setups of this size go unnoticed in heavy grow lands and are successful.

This one was funny, dealer caught with Marijuana stuck to his head!

Well apparently hidding your marijuana stash under you cap is a common place to hide it although I have never heard of any one doing it. Cesar Lopez a 29 year old got nabbed by the cops when he took off his cap and cops saw that he had marijuana stuck on his forehead.

Next time it might be worth putting a small stash of weed in your pants underneath your cock.
