Jack Herer RIP and a quick look at his pro marijuana theories and ideas
Like alot of people Jack Herer was introduced to marijuana and as many smoked it but only until his friend, “Captain” Ed Adair, put Herer in the right direction did he start discovering the benefits of this herb and his revelations led him to believe that infact this plant could save the world!
In short as highlighted by his book, The Emporer Wears No Clothes, he points out the following:
- Marijauna is renewable source of fuel, with low pollution levels
- Marijuana can act as a great digestive aid for food
- Has medicinal properties
- Can be grown in virtually any part of the world and quite easily
- Can be used to make paper, therefore reducing deforestation
- Can be used to make rope and textiles
In honour of Jack’s great work he also has a cannabis seed named after him that has also gone onto win the 7th High Times Cannabis Cup
The above is some of the great work that Jack Herer had been working towards in the hope of legalizing marijuana and his work will no doubt be carried on after his death on April 15, 2010, aged 70 due to complications of a heart attack.
